Pilgrimage 001: Scotland
April 17-23, 2027
Reformers & Rebels Experience
Five full experience days · Six nights · Planned group of 20 men
Join Saints & Scoundrels for a pilgrimage through Edinburgh, St Andrews, Perthshire, and Stirling.
We’ll encounter the courageous, complicated Christians
who helped reshape a nation, explore remarkable places,
and consider the faith taking shape in our own lives.

A Journey With Something to Bring Home
You may come for the castles, the history, or the Scotch.
Along the way, you may find yourself thinking about something
closer to home.
What do the people around you learn from the way you live?
What convictions hold when being faithful becomes uncomfortable?
And what kind of faith will those who follow you inherit?
The Scottish Reformers give us plenty to talk about. Their courage could be extraordinary. Their failures could be considerable. Their need for grace ought to sound familiar.
We’ll open Scripture alongside their stories, leaving room for honest disagreement, quiet reflection, and the sort of laughter that makes strangers feel like old friends.

Depart Edinburgh
Settle in, stretch your legs, and meet the company over a welcome dinner. We’ll introduce the journey and give jet lag a sporting chance to surrender.
Explore the Royal Mile, St Giles’, and John Knox House as we consider Scripture, authority, and the beliefs we find most comfortable. Finish with a shared dinner and an introduction to Scotch.
Encounter the stories of Hamilton, Wishart, and Knox among chapel cobblestones, castle walls, and cathedral ruins. Reflect on courage, grace, and the approval we’re reluctant to lose.
A day of Highland scenery and whisky craftsmanship, with proposed visits to Glenturret and Blair Athol. Between the stills and the stories, consider how patience and ordinary habits shape a life.
Explore Stirling Castle and the Church of the Holy Rude, followed by a proposed whisky experience at Stirling Distillery. Consider power, conscience, and the difference between leading others and needing to control them. Enjoy a free-choice evening in town.
Return to Edinburgh for the castle, Greyfriars, and the Covenanter story. Bring the week together through reflection, a proposed Johnnie Walker Princes Street experience, and a farewell dinner with plenty worth remembering.
Say your goodbyes and head home with a field guide full of notes, a few new friends, and something to put into practice when ordinary Tuesday comes around again.
This is our proposed itinerary. Venues, access, and the order of activities remain subject to confirmation.
